Many people specifically the individuals from economically depressed countries go to others countries to earn bigger amount of money to support their families. One of the countries that employ many domestic helpers is Hong Kong. Most households
hire helpers because they are busy and have no time to do household chores. The job of the helpers include,
baby sitting, caring for disabled family member and elders. Unlike the caregivers in Canada, these helpers do all the household chores and they are paid with lesser amount. Through the salary of the helper, he/she is able to help her family and the economy of his/her country because the dollar reserves of the country increases.
Most of the helpers in Hong Kong are from the Philippines. Sometimes, they experience unlawful acts from their employers but they endure it for the sake of their families.
