During the year 1968 in the United States, immigrants from Cuba were suspended from coming to the US. Cuban immigrants were not anymore allowed to settle in the States. The air flights were suspended and so were the immigration offices accepting Cuban immigrants.
After some years, the Cuban and the US government had a meeting, and some 250,000 Cubans flew into the country to settle in Miami. These Cubans were looking for
better employment opportunities in the US. In 1994, then Prsident Clinton did not allow the immigrants and the refugees anymore because of their growing numbers in Florida. However, some Cubans still enter the US through
small boats.
