Immigration works two ways: it either fills up America's already overflowing cup, or gives back something to the immigrant - a livelihood, a new American spouse, or a thriving business right in the center of the US, or even a political position. "Immigrants steal our jobs," I remember one professor from Washington told me. I don't know if this is a bigot's POV, but America benefits from aliens coming into the country. Usually they are Hispanics and Asians who take the
low-paying job positions and do the dirty work white collar (and even blue collar) citizens won't do.
