I logged on to the internet this morning after our IT technician fixed the problem with our
wireless internet connection. Incidentally, I was able to click on the website of the Los Angeles Times and there I saw the news on the continuous US Immigration Law hearings. I found out that there is a continuous congressional jockeying for the upper hand in overhauling of the US immigration laws as the House leaders announced that there will be another set of hearings to expose what they termed as "troubling provisions" in Senate legislation on the said issue. This statement from the House came as the Senate held a forum acknowledging the contributions made by legal and illegal immigrants to the US government. Accordingly, the hearing was intended to oppose criticisms of its bill, which House leaders contest in large part because it includes a means for illegal immigrants to gain an American citizenship.
